Instead, I'd be happy to explore what you’re looking for in a password manager and answer any questions you might have about 1Password. 🙂 I have only used 1Password, so it would be difficult for me to give a direct and fair comparison with other password managers, including Dashlane.

You can also take a look at a couple of free ones like LastPass and Bitwarden - haven't tried these but I hear they're good. You shouldn't take my word for it though, just try them out and decide for yourself. Dashlane doesn't have something like 1P mini which is very useful for me (at least on macOS).1P requires you to do that if you want to - I like the way 1P does it way more. Dashlane always autofills passwords as soon as I visit a website.Dashlane doesn't allow me to have a login for multiple websites, I have to have one for each (for example, .uk,, are 3 separate things in Dashlane, just one in 1Password).Apart from that, here are a couple of other extra things that make 1P better for me: For why I don't like Dashlane as much, see my thread here. After trying 1Password, it was clear that most reviewers are paid by Dashlane for it (and it seems to work) - check out this video for instance - it says in the title it is sponsored.

When I was deciding to jump on the password manager bandwagon almost 2 years ago, everywhere I went everyone said Dashlane is the best - so I went with it. I think Dashlane pays reviewers for favorable reviews. We'll always be marked by an official flair, and will always love both 1Password and you.
